Philomath Open Studios Tour

October 17-18 & 24-25

The Philomath Open Studios Tour is the last 2 weekends in October (17,18 & 24,25) from 12-5 pm each day. There are 9 studios on the tour this year with a total of 27 artists. You can pick up a map/schedule at Green Heron Gallery and enjoy our artists work and demonstrations of silk painting, nerikomi ceramic technique, decoupage, oil painting and figure sculpture in clay.

POST Artist Reception

October 2nd 5-7pm

Philomath Open Studios Artist reception on First Friday, October 2nd 5-7pm in the Green Heron Gallery This show celebrates the Philomath Open Studios in their 21st year! 4 artists are guests of the gallery this year and I am the host artist (Vicki). The reception will be refreshments, a chance to meet some of the artists, preview the tour and enjoy live music by Chuck Tourtillot. The preview show runs until Nov 3rd. About Philomath Arts

The Philomath Arts Building is a multi-use art facility that houses the Green Heron Art Gallery, Slipstream Clay Studio and a ceramic supply shop. We aim to be a hub for the arts in our community by holding art events monthly, as well as promoting other local art institutions, performance and events.

*You may see people working in the ceramics studio at different times. They cannot let you in or help you with purchases.

Slipstream Clay Studio & Supply Shop

The teaching and membership studio of Vicki Wilson. The studio offers: 8 week long classes and 1 night “Try-It” Classes, Clay-At-Home project kits (with video tutorials). Membership is by invitation only, once a class is completed. The studio also houses a Ceramics Supply Shop that sells Cone 6 (mid-range/Stoneware and Porcelain) clay and glaze supplies. All class registrations take place through the website.

Green Heron Gallery

This newly formed art gallery is run by Vicki Wilson, with help from artist volunteers. You may find the showing artists working on their work at the desk. The gallery accepts work from local artists in all stages of their careers. New shows are mounted bi-monthly and receptions are held on the First Friday of each month 5-8pm (starting in April 2026). Please contact Vicki for information about submission deadlines and process

Eventually, we hope to offer small 2-d classes and lunchtime talks at the gallery table. Please contact Vicki if you have a class you'd enjoy teaching.
